CONCRETE DESIGN

Brief:  Jobs I worked on throughout my time at Futuristic Design which is a high end decorative concrete company. It requires attention to minute details as well as overall composition of the microtopping. I have done this for the past 2 years. Note: These are done with teams.

This is an eighth inch micro-topping floor  that allowed the pedestrian to navigate the layout of the building with more ease.  We sprayed the concrete to make it have a more texturized look.

This concrete counter top  is unique in its color and material.  It was a residential bar that became the focal point in the room.

This fireplace was made with epoxy and sprayed concrete.  The fireplace itself was a work of art, but the concrete made it beautiful.

This is a Epoxy topping system that we did for the Richmond Olympic Oval floor.  It was made to create the sense of walking on ice for the spectators.

BC CHILDRENS HOSPITAL

Brief:  Website redesign for BC Childrens Hospital
Click on the following link to see their current website www.bcchildrens.ca

My redesign

For the splash page I wanted to use soothing colors to calm the visitor down and give the information hierarchy.

Using consistent colors bands for the titles of each section of the site allows the user to navigate more easily.

Iconography allows a wider range of users to navigate the site.

THE RHYTHM OF COKE

Brief: Using an branded material, I created the rhythm to a song by Quantic called "Time."  It comments on the fact that Coke is a long standing brand, and it is seen everywhere. Vancouvers skyline reminded me of  equalizer bars and coke was one of the main sponsors of the Olympics. So this is Cokes Vancouver.

This close up shows the materials used as well as the rhythm of "Time."

TRANSITIONS

Brief:   This piece shows transition between 3 stages in my life.  I chose my transition between Senegal to the US to Israel. Read left to right.

Senegal represented a colorful dynamic time in my life.  My following experience in the US was very institutional and corporate. My final move to Israel was similar to Senegal in dynamism, but different in the kind of growth that occurred within me.
